    The California-Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association (CA-NV AWWA) and the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) are committed to protecting confidential and/or proprietary information related to applicants, candidates, certificants, and the exam development, maintenance, and administration process.

    The exam and the contents of the Candidate Handbook are confidential and are protected by trade secret law. It is made available to you, the examinee, solely for the purpose of becoming certified as an Advanced Water Treatment Operator. You are expressly prohibited from disclosing, publishing, reproducing, or transmitting the contents of this handbook, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, verbal or written, electronic or mechanical, for any purpose, without the prior express written permission of CA-NV AWWA and CWEA. Thank you for your cooperation!

    CA-NV AWWA and CWEA agree that information about an applicant/candidate/certificant will only be released to that applicant/ candidate/certificant unless release of the information is authorized in writing by the individual or is required by law. When information is required by law to be disclosed, the individual will be notified in advance of the required information release, unless such notification is prohibited by law.

    Personal information submitted by an applicant/candidate/certificant with an application or recertification application is considered confidential. Personal information retained within the database will be kept confidential.

    All application information is confidential and will not be shared with any party other than CA-NV AWWA exam development or administration vendors for certification processing purposes.

    Exam scores are released only to the exam candidate unless a signed release is provided in writing by the individual, or release is required by law.
